BSC-DSBI teachers and students visited the Headquarters of the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) at Wan Chai on 11 April 2019. We were received by Mr Howard Wong, Senior Statistician from General Statistics Branch.

Mr Wong introduced the Government Statistical Service, organisation and work of the C&SD and the career opportunities for statistical professionals in Hong Kong. Teachers and students also had the opportunity to tour around the Service Centre on Trade Statistics.

Through the visit and sharing, students learnt more about the organisation, scope of work, and career opportunities in C&SD and gained off-campus learning experience relevant to their future profession.
