Admission Assessment

Written test is not required.

Interview will be arranged on a case-by-case basis.

Interview will be conducted around the period from May to July each year. Applicants will be notified about details of interview arrangement via email.

 

Admission Policy

Applicants must fulfill the general entrance requirement. BSc-AIN programme adopts a Best Five Subject Policy# with English and Mathematics inclusive. The applicant’s HKDSE subject scores are first multiplied by a subject weight. The admission score is the sum of the five highest weighted scores.

# Best Five subjects include core subjects, Category A electives and M1/M2.

 

Non-academic Consideration:

For applicants with the same admission scores, consideration will be made on a basis of other available information including band choices, interview performance, OEA, SPN, etc.

 

Subject Weighting

The minimum level requirement of HKDSE subjects are shown below. There are three kinds of subject weights (2, 3, and 5) to calculate the weighted score.

The Admission Score is the sum of the best five weighted scores (level attained of a subject multiplied by the corresponding subject weight) of an applicant’s HKDSE result. Take the following table as an example, the best five subjects in terms of the weighted scores are Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics (Compulsory), M2 and BAFS (Accounting), which sum up to the Admission Score of 112.
